Birthdate:1973-10-26

Bio

Nathaniel 'Nate' Grant grew up in the Big Apple as the only child of a social worker and historian who were both civil rights activists. They were big shoes to follow but his parents started him properly with a sound education as well as a watchful eye.

Though the Grants didn't have a tough time with their son. Nate remained focused mainly in studies and occasionally sports, keeping out of trouble though his keen eye watched it happening all around. To include with his first cousin on his mother's side, Derek Morgan.

Injustice had taken a very different form than in his parent's day and Nate chose to make a change through the legal system. Starting with graduating from a prestigious specialized high school, he went on to graduate with honors from college and law school.

It was in law school that he met and fell in love with a woman who held a passion for injustice much like his own. He and Rose were married within their first year at the District Attorney's office. He found a partner in every sense of the word. Or so he thought.

After six years into the marriage, Nate came to face with the realization that he might have mistook passion for ambition in his wife. She not only left the District Attorney's office for a high power legal defense firm, but eventually petitioned him for divorce as well. His marriage fell apart long before the divorce was finalized yet Nate never wanted to quit. Much like his legal career.

He continued to prosecute criminals with one of the city's highest conviction rates. However, his unwillingness to engage in the corruption around him kept him at a stand still in his career. Nate watched some of his colleagues switch teams for more lucrative careers, while others made their money under the table. Starting with the District Attorney himself; George L. Burrowsky.

Nate never wavered in his conviction, though his faith in the justice system was tested and even disproved more often than not. Yet Burrowsky's term finally ended at the hands of his own corruption. The dedicated ADA would continue doing what he did best without batting an eye.
